What is "Gratitude"?


Gratitude is appreciating what you have, for which you can be thankful today, rather than looking for new things to come into your life and make you happy. Happiness is already within you, just look for things and events that happened that made your life a little better.

Some might think, that there is so little in your life to appreciate. But believe me, if you look for something, however small that might be, you'll definitely find something that happened with you that made you a better person, a happier person, be grateful for such small things and events first.




Is Gratitude really important?


Let me present some facts, and I want you to think about this question yourself. 
What does everyone want in life, what is the thing we're all been chasing day and night? The answer to this question is "Satisfaction". It includes all types of satisfaction, be it physical or mental. And guess what, gratitude is the easiest and most effective way to get satisfied with your life, without hoping for a miracle and getting something new that can make you more satisfied. So, here are some facts that came from several kinds of research that showed how gratitude helps you be more satisfied at:

        1.Mental Level:

a) Makes you optimistic, always positive.
b) Directly alters your mood, serves as a mood lifter.
c) Makes you happier from inside.
d) Helps you express yourself easily.
e) Reduces arrogance and aggression.

        2.Physical Level:

a) It lowers blood pressure.
b) Decreases the feeling of pain.
c) Increases sleep quality.
d) Decreases Stress and Depression.
e) Increases relaxation and overall energy.



So, what do we understand here - We get to know that there exists a thing, that takes less than one minute, and that can make us so better in the two most important fields of our life, it can make us more satisfied at the mental and physical level, and still, we're not practicing it just because we think it is stupid. Why not take out a pen and paper every day before sitting for work and write down a few things that you're grateful for, don't you think it'll make our work-time much more efficient.

Conclusion:

Gratitude is such a habit that can make you happier without much effort, it doesn't take much of our time and energy. It makes us feel good about ourselves. 

Gratitude makes us much more positive, and being positive attracts the right kind of people. It helps us grow and work more and more towards a better future.

Such a simple habit, that requires so little time and comes with infinitely many benefits. Is there still any reason not to do it?
